There is no separate app membership and nothing that only works in the app. Sign up on either one and log in on the other whenever it suits you. Most members end up doing both, because a phone is easier in the yard and a laptop is easier for writing a proper first message.

Messages and Super Match
Message anyone you match with. A Super Match lands at the top of someone’s inbox and is always seen first.
Share photos and updates, comment on other members’ posts and take part in polls. Posting and commenting are free.
Blocking and reporting

Your account
Hide your profile, change tier or cancel from inside the app. No phone call, no notice period.
Does the app work in poor signal?
Mostly, and where it does not the website is the better bet, so keep both.
Plenty of members live somewhere the bars drop to one. The app is a small download and it is light on data, but it still needs a connection to load messages. If your signal is patchy at home, a lot of members write messages on a laptop in the evening and use the app when they are out.
Nothing is lost either way. It is one account and everything syncs.

Is the Grounded app free to download?
Yes. The app is free on the App Store and on Google Play, and registering is free once you are in. VIP and VIP+ are optional and you can look around properly before you decide.
Do I need a separate account for the app?
No. It is one account. Sign up on the website and log in on the app, or the other way round. Your profile, photos, matches and messages are the same on both.
Which phones does the app work on?
The iPhone app needs iOS 16.6 or later, and it also runs on a Mac with an M1 chip or newer. The Android app is on Google Play. If your phone is older than that, the website works in your phone's browser and does everything the app does.
Do the prices differ inside the app?
They can. If you subscribe inside the iPhone app, Apple takes the payment using its own set price points, so the amount can differ from the price on this website. The prices on our pricing page are the website prices.
Can I use the website instead of the app?
Yes, and plenty of members do. Nothing is app-only. The website works on a phone, a tablet or a computer, and rural signal being what it is, some members prefer it.
Will the app drain my data or battery?
It is a small download and it is built around the same pages as the website, so it is light on both. You can also turn notifications off per type in your account settings.
