What is the Grounded community?

It is the part of Grounded that is not about dating at all: rooms and group chats where members talk about the things that fill a rural week.

Lambing, local walks, what is on at the county show, what the weather has done to the ground. You can talk to a whole room rather than one person at a time, which most people find a good deal easier than opening with a cold message.

Chat rooms

Members-only rooms you can drop into. A low-pressure way to get a feel for people before you message anyone directly.

Private group chats

Set one up for up to 50 people, free and VIP members together. Useful for planning something, or just for a smaller circle.

Posts, polls and comments

Share photos and updates, comment on articles and other members’ posts, and take part in polls. All free.

Kept civil, on purpose

Every photo, video and message is screened as it is uploaded, by AI and by people. Members carry a rating built from how they actually behave, and one-click feedback feeds it.

Attempts to move a conversation onto WhatsApp early are flagged, because that is a common opening move for scams. Block anyone in one tap and they cannot contact you or see you again.

How the community side works

What is there to do besides messaging?

Chat rooms open to VIP members, private group chats for up to 50 people, posts and photo updates on your profile, comments on articles and other members' posts, and polls and quizzes. A lot of members join to meet someone and stay because they like the company.

How big is a private group chat?

Up to 50 people, and you can mix VIP and free members in the same chat.

Are the chat rooms moderated?

Yes. Everything posted is screened on upload by AI and by human moderators, and every member carries a rating built from how they behave. You can block or report anyone in one tap.

Which parts of the UK have the most members?

Greater London is the largest single county, then Hampshire, North Yorkshire and the West Midlands. Members are spread across 71 UK counties and 13 Irish ones.

Can I join in without paying?

Yes. Posting, commenting and taking part in polls are all free. Chat rooms are a VIP feature.
