What the matching actually looks at
Age and distance, obviously. Then how active someone is, what kind of relationship they have said they want, lifestyle habits like drinking and smoking, and the specific interests you have picked, right down to which sports and hobbies.
It creates the opportunity. What happens next is down to the two of you, and no algorithm has ever managed that part.
Being seen is half of it
A finished profile with a photo gets dramatically more replies than a blank one. You can earn badges just by being around and behaving well: Verified, Chatterbox, Heartthrob, Most Popular.

How long does signing up take?
About a minute. We ask who you are, who you would like to meet and roughly where you live. Everything else can wait until you have had a look round.
Do I have to upload a photo straight away?
No, though profiles with a photo get far more replies. You can add one whenever you are ready, and every photo is screened before it appears.
What are daily matches?
A short list of people picked for you each day using age, distance, interests, activity and what you have said you are looking for. It is a starting point, not a verdict.
Can I message people for free?
Yes, up to a set number each day, and you can always read and reply to messages from VIP members. VIP removes the daily limit.
